We are excited to welcome Xujun Li as a new team member of the BIOCTANE project!
Xujun brings a strong academic and research background to the BIOCTANE project. After earning a PhD from Xi’an Jiaotong University in December 2023, Xujun expanded their expertise as a joint training student at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany. Their work focused on hydrogen production, supercritical water gasification, and waste treatment.
In October 2024, Xujun joined PSI in Switzerland as a postdoctoral researcher, contributing to Work Package 2: Hydrothermal Gasification to Hydrogen. Their efforts in Tasks 2.2 and 2.3 involve testing catalysts, optimizing process conditions, and exploring hydrogen production from real fermentation residues while improving brine extraction efficiency.
Xujun’s work is vital to the BIOCTANE mission of creating sustainable aviation fuel and paving the way for a cleaner energy future.
