New Team Member

We are excited to welcome Lidia Amodio as a new team member of the BIOCTANE project!

Lidia Amodio is a Chemical Engineer who holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Salerno (Italy). She earned her PhD at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain), carrying out her research at IMDEA Energy, in the Thermochemical Processes Unit. Her doctoral work focused on the valorisation of real non-recyclable plastic waste through catalytic pyrolysis and hydropyrolysis, specifically targeting the removal of contaminants such as halogenated compounds and increasing valuable products.

In BIOCTANE, Lidia contributes to Work Package 3 (WP3). Her work focuses on the catalytic conversion of 2,3-butanediol (2,3-BDO), into hydrocarbons suitable for jet-fuel formulation.
